Short, structured practice raises CPS faster than random clicking. This four-week plan takes 5 to 10 minutes a day. Always warm up first, and stop if your hand hurts.

Warm-up (every session)

  • Open and close your hand ten times.
  • Roll your wrists gently.
  • Do two easy 5 second tests at about 70% effort.

Week 1 — rhythm

  • 3 × 5 second tests, resting 30 seconds between.
  • 1 × 30 seconds of even, steady clicking at a pace you could keep all day.

Week 2 — speed bursts

Week 3 — stamina

Week 4 — technique and testing

  • Practise your chosen technique (jitter or butterfly) in 5 to 10 second bursts.
  • Finish with 3 × 5 second tests and compare with week 1.

Rules for staying healthy

  • Never push through pain.
  • Rest at least a day between hard sessions if you feel tired.
  • Keep your wrist relaxed and supported.
