Mouse Sensitivity Converter

Move between FPS games without relearning your aim. Convert your sensitivity from one game to another and keep the same distance per 360° turn.

How to use the Mouse Sensitivity Converter

  1. Choose the game you are converting from and the game you are converting to.
  2. Enter your current sensitivity and mouse DPI.
  3. Read the new sensitivity to type into the second game. The cm/360 stays the same.
  4. Test it in a practice range and fine-tune by a few percent if it feels slightly different.

Understanding your results

The converter matches the distance your mouse travels for a full turn. New sensitivity = old sensitivity × (old game's yaw ÷ new game's yaw). Because both games then turn the same amount per inch of mouse movement, your muscle memory carries over. The result also shows your cm/360 and the new eDPI.

How the conversion works

Each game rotates the camera by a fixed number of degrees (its yaw) for every mouse count at sensitivity 1. Counter-Strike and Apex use 0.022, Valorant 0.07, and Overwatch 2 and modern Call of Duty 0.0066. To get the same turning speed, the product yaw × sensitivity has to match between games.

GameYaw (degrees per count)
Counter-Strike 2 / CS:GO0.022
Valorant0.07
Overwatch 20.0066
Apex Legends0.022
Team Fortress 20.022
Call of Duty (modern)0.0066

new sens = old sens × old yaw ÷ new yaw

Example conversion

A player uses sensitivity 1.2 in Counter-Strike 2 (yaw 0.022). In Valorant (yaw 0.07) the matching sensitivity is 1.2 × 0.022 ÷ 0.07 = 0.377. At 800 DPI both give the same cm/360 of about 43.3 cm.

Things the converter cannot match

Field of view, scoped sensitivity multipliers and in-game acceleration settings all change how a game feels even at the same cm/360. Games can also change their internal values in updates, so treat results as a very good starting point and adjust by feel. For the full background see what is DPI and eDPI?

Tips to improve

  • Keep your DPI the same while converting; change only the in-game sensitivity.
  • Spend 20 minutes in the practice range before judging the new setting.
  • Write down your cm/360 — it is the one number that travels between games.

Frequently asked questions

It is exact for hip-fire turning when the yaw values are right. FOV, scopes and acceleration can still change the feel.

Check the game's yaw value (degrees per count at sensitivity 1) and use the formula on this page.

Not for the conversion itself — only to show your cm/360 and eDPI. Keep DPI the same in both games.
