How to use the Click Counter
- Click the pad to start counting. The first click starts the elapsed-time clock.
- Keep clicking — the total and your running average CPS update live.
- Press Reset to start again from zero.
Understanding your results
The counter shows your total clicks, the elapsed time since your first click and your average CPS over that period. Because there is no fixed duration, it is ideal for counting clicks during a task or for informal challenges ("first to 1,000").
What is a click counter used for?
A click counter is a quick way to count mouse clicks without writing anything down. People use it for clicker and idle-game challenges, to test how many clicks a mouse button survives in a session, to settle bets with friends and to practise rhythm without the pressure of a countdown.
If you want a score you can compare with others, use a timed test instead: the CPS test or the click speed test measure clicks per second over a fixed window.
Click counter vs CPS test
| Click counter | CPS test | |
|---|---|---|
| Time limit | None | 1 – 100 seconds |
| Result | Total clicks | CPS, CPM, consistency |
| Best for | Counting and long sessions | Comparing speed |
Tips to improve
- Use the reset button between challenges so your average stays meaningful.
- Only left clicks count. For the right button, use the right click test.
- Take breaks during long counts to avoid strain.
